Terms of Service
The terms on which we provide our recovery, towing and storage services.
Last updated: 01/06/2026.
1. Introduction & Who We Are
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Easy Vehicle Breakdown Recoveries Ltd ("we", "us", "our") and any person or organisation ("you", "the Customer") who requests or accepts services from us. Please read them carefully before requesting our assistance.
We are registered in England and Wales under Company No. 11262598, with our registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We have been trading since 2008 and operate a 24/7, 365-days-a-year emergency and planned recovery service.
By instructing us — whether by telephone, email, online form or any other means — you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services We Provide
We provide the following services, subject to availability and the Terms below:
- 24/7 emergency vehicle breakdown recovery and roadside assistance
- Accident recovery and incident management
- Vehicle towing — local, national and UK-wide
- Motorcycle recovery (upright and flatbed)
- Keyless and total-lift recovery (vehicles with no steering or brakes)
- Police-impound and council-pound collections
- Fleet and commercial vehicle recovery
- Secure short-term and longer-term vehicle storage
- Relay and onward transportation to a destination of your choice
All services are subject to the safe and lawful ability of our operatives to attend the vehicle. We reserve the right to decline a job where attendance would present an unacceptable safety or legal risk.
3. Quotes & Acceptance
Quotes are provided verbally by telephone, or in writing by email, and are based on the information you supply at the time of enquiry. Quotes remain valid only for the specific job described and are subject to change if the circumstances on arrival differ materially from those stated.
By accepting a quote given by us, you are deemed to have fully accepted our terms and conditions.
Acceptance occurs at the point you verbally confirm the quote, provide payment details, or otherwise instruct us to proceed. You do not need to sign a document for these Terms to take effect.
4. Pricing & Payment
4.1 How We Price
Guide prices for our services start with a hook-up / call-out fee (confirmed at the time of quoting), plus the following variable elements:
- Mileage: £3.50 per mile, calculated on a round-trip basis from our nearest available unit to your location and back.
- Waiting time: Waiting time may apply after the first 30 minutes at £50.00 per hour (or part thereof).
- Wheel damage / stuck wheels: Where a wheel is seized, locked or otherwise requires additional work to move safely, a charge of £50.00 per affected wheel may be applied.
- Location and vehicle condition: Prices may vary depending on the location, accessibility, condition and type of vehicle. Complex recoveries (e.g. from ditches, multi-storey car parks or off-road terrain) will be quoted individually.
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept all major credit and debit cards with no card surcharge. Payment is due in the amount quoted prior to or upon completion of the service, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing in advance (for example, for fleet account customers).
4.3 Non-Payment
We reserve the right to retain any vehicle in our custody until outstanding charges are settled in full. Storage charges continue to accrue during any period of retention.
5. Police & Council Pound Collections
Where we are instructed to attend a police-impound or council compound on your behalf, the following additional terms apply:
- An admin charge of £50.00 may apply if the registered keeper or authorised representative is not present when our driver attends.
- Once our driver attends a pound on your behalf, a non-refundable charge of £150.00 is payable, regardless of whether the vehicle is ultimately released by the compound authority. This covers our driver's time, travel and administrative effort.
- All pound release fees, fines, penalties and any other charges levied by the relevant authority must be paid in full by you before the vehicle is released. We do not advance or loan funds for this purpose.
-
You must supply, prior to or upon our driver's attendance, a valid:
- V5C (vehicle registration document) in your name or evidence of authority
- Current, valid driving licence
- Proof of valid motor insurance for the vehicle
- Evidence that all outstanding fines and fees owed to the authority are settled
- We accept no liability if the compound authority refuses to release the vehicle due to incomplete documentation, outstanding fines, or any other reason outside our control.
6. Customer Responsibilities
When requesting our services you confirm and warrant that:
- All information you provide — including your location, the vehicle details, its condition and any hazards present — is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- You are the registered keeper of the vehicle, the owner, or have the lawful authority of the registered keeper or owner to arrange recovery or towing.
- The vehicle does not contain stolen goods, controlled substances or any other items whose possession or transportation would be unlawful.
- You will provide our operative with safe and reasonable access to the vehicle and, where relevant, co-operate with any directions given for safety reasons.
- You will inform us immediately of any known hazards or special conditions (e.g. fuel spill, airbag deployment, hazardous cargo, contaminated vehicle).
You indemnify us against any loss, liability, cost or claim arising from inaccurate or misleading information provided by you, or from your failure to comply with the above.
7. Liability & Insurance
7.1 Our Insurance
Easy Vehicle Breakdown Recoveries Ltd is fully insured for the services we provide, including motor trade, public liability and in-transit vehicle insurance. Evidence of insurance can be provided on request.
7.2 Our Standard of Care
We will carry out all services with reasonable skill and care, using appropriate equipment and trained personnel. We take reasonable precautions to protect your vehicle during loading, transit and unloading.
7.3 Limits of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in respect of any single incident or series of related incidents shall not exceed the value of the services agreed for that job. We shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, consequential or economic losses (including loss of earnings, loss of use of the vehicle, or missed appointments).
- Damage that was pre-existing or that arises from the inherent condition of the vehicle at the time of collection.
- Losses arising from delays caused by traffic, road closures, adverse weather, police direction, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.
7.4 Liability That Cannot Be Excluded
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel a request at any time before our operative has departed for your location. In such cases, no charge will apply unless a quote has already been accepted in writing with a deposit taken, in which case the deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel after our operative has already departed, a partial call-out fee to cover travel and time will be payable. The amount will not exceed the hook-up fee quoted for the job. Once an operative has arrived at the scene, the full quoted price (or any revised price agreed on arrival) is payable.
For pound collections specifically, please refer to Clause 5 above — the non-refundable £150.00 charge applies once our driver has attended the pound, irrespective of cancellation or non-release.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim, unless you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction and applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the date of your enquiry is the version that applies. We recommend that you review these Terms each time you use our services.
